How to Import Race Results

If you've got race results you'd like to import into the participant data for your event, you've come to the right place! Here's how the process works:

  1. From your dashboard click on Import Results on the left sidebar
  2. Select your event from the drop down menu
  3. Select the date of your event
  4. Choose whether you're importing one sport at a time, or multiple
  5. Enter in the race results contact information. This is the person your participants will contact if they have questions about their results.
  6. Click Browse to select the file containing your results and click Continue
    • Required Fields are: First Name, Last Name, DOB, Gender, and Overall Finish Time
    • Hint: If you click the Race Results Tips and Samples, you can download a sample file to see what this looks like
  7. Be sure the 'Your Fields' and 'Our Fields' match
  8. Click Continue
  9. We highly recommend clicking the Preview Race Results link to be sure everything looks good before importing your data
  10. Click Continue to upload your data
  11. Once the results are uploaded, we'll automatically send an email to your athletes to let them know!
Or, watch a video!

The email your athletes will receive looks like this:

Another popular option for giving your participants access to their race results
You may prefer to simply edit your event overview to include a link to the results posted on your timing company's website.

Help, something went wrong!
If you've imported your race results and something doesn't look quite right, you can upload your corrected results again and choose 'I want to replace the current results with these records' and we will delete the current race results for the event date and use the the new ones you've provided instead.

Some other words of advice:
  • Your results file must be saved as txt or comma delimited csv file
  • The first row of your file should be column headers
  • Your file must contain the following fields: First Name, Last Name, DOB, Gender, Overall Finish Time
  • First names and last names must be in separate columns
  • Make sure your headers match ours before proceeding with the import
  • Every participant must have an overall finish time
